MORNING:
Today we volunteered at two different local gardens. During the course of the day, either in the morning or afternoon, we also did group activities, talking about positive and negative attitudes and how they can change your experience and perspective, as well as others. In the morning at the North Coventry Elementary School garden, they weeded and prepared soil to go onto the beds. At Park Springs garden they also weeded whole time.
AFTERNOON:
During the afternoon at Park Springs, they continued to weed, also doing a bit of watering. The people who went to North Coventry Elementary also continued to weed and prepared a new bed with soil.
Although it was a hard days work for everyone, I think most appreciated the satisfaction of weeding and reward for their hard work. As Henry said, "It was nice to see the garden before, overgrown with weeds and to see it after we did all that work."
